You can bring the show back to the front by clicking the screen outside the window and repeat the Ctrl+N again as often as you like to capture more current images all in different Irfanview windows. The shortcut Ctrl+N will also open a new Irfanview window as an external editor while a slideshow is running and display the current image in front of the slideshow, without stopping the show. Any of those options will open the last image displayed before you closed the slideshow.Ģ. If you then select File> Open with External editor you will have a choice of up to 3 External programs, assuming you have set them up, or at the bottom Irfanview itself (in a new window) to use as an external editor.
